Ralph was born in Gays River, NS to John James Cook and Martha Kellough. He was born 1876 and died in 1961. In 1906, he married Mae Annette Walker (1876-1948), also born in Gays River. They parented four children.

Clarence Ralph Cook (1909-2000)

While born in Gays River, Clarence lived the last 58 years of his life in Valley, NS, near Truro. He was a lumberman and sawyer. He was also interested in family history and wrote a memoir called As I Remember. With his wife Bertha Letitia Webster (±1914-    ), four children were born to them.

Jean Annette Cook MacKenzie (1914-2007)

Jean became a hair stylist in Alymer, Ontario. Her husband was Cape Breton-born John Fraser Mackenzie (1917-2000).

Genesta Mae Cook Lamond Matheson (1917- 2009)

Known as “Ness”, Genesta, like her sister was born in Gays River and became a hairdresser in Aylmer, ON. She first married Roy Dexter Lamond (1915-1970) and parented two children. Following his death in 1970, she married William J. Matheson (1911-1977).
