Estate of William Cook, Late of Gays River deceased

Proved January 1832

In the name of God Amen. Be it known that I William Cook, Farmer of Gays River County of Halifax Province of Nova Scotia being in the full possession of all my rational faculties declare this to be my Last Will & Testament setting aside all former Wills & Testaments that I may have made Which is as follows

That I bequeath make over & fully & freely give by Inheritance all my property of Real & Personal Estate to my Son John Cook his heirs & assigns to have & to hold for ever upon these conditions that he shall allow Leah Cook my beloved wife the free possession & full enjoy of her rights of dowery including in this right the Room & Bed Room now occupied by my wife & me with sufficient firewood provided during her lifetime & at her death the whole shall fall unto my Son John his Heirs & assigns.

Further I Bequeath to my Son George the sum of Ten pounds currency six months after my decease & to Nancy Deckman & Susan Smith a cow each and six head of sheep each one month after my death & that all my debts & Funeral expenses shall be discharged by my said Son John Cook whom I appoint & constitute Executor & Leah Cook my wife Executrix of this my last Will & Testament.
